Mt. Baker (2021)

The Powder Hound Collective recently returned from a legendary ski trip to Mount Baker, where we spent two days shredding the slopes over the 2020 Christmas holiday. Our group of two, Taylor and Bob, were blessed with legendary powder dumps at Baker, and we were fully smoked after skiing two days in the “Cascade concrete.”

We had a blast pushing ourselves on the steeps, but our gear was fully soaked through by 2pm with all of the precipitation. Our accommodations were memorable to say the least - we ended up staying in what can only be described as a “Cabin in the Woods” sitting on a farm, with multiple horses we had to dodge with our vehicle.

After returning to Seattle, we got a bonus day in at Steven’s Pass, which blessed us with glorious blue bird weather and zero lift lines. Although a bit different from one of our traditional trips, the first trip of the 2020-2021 skison was a success and we look forward to our next trip.
